Shiro Dhara

Shiro Dhara

Shirodhara is a deeply relaxing and therapeutic Ayurvedic treatment that involves the continuous pouring of warm herbal oil or medicated liquid onto the forehead, specifically targeting the "third eye" area. This ancient therapy has been practiced in India for centuries and is renowned for its ability to calm the mind, reduce stress, and promote overall well-being.

During Shirodhara, the patient lies comfortably on a massage table with their eyes covered. A gentle stream of warm herbal oil, typically infused with herbs like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, or Sandalwood, is poured in a continuous and rhythmic manner onto the forehead from a traditional vessel called a Dhara pot. The oil flows over the scalp and through the hair, inducing a profound sense of relaxation and tranquility.
